Dear Friends, Family and Supporters,

First and foremost, let me say congratulations to Michelle Fried and Patrick Judge, 2007 Woman and Man of the Year. They deserve a big pat on the back for the large amount of money they raised for the Society.

To all my friends, family, collegues, and everyone in between who supported my campaign, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I could never have done this without you.

I am proud to announce that we raised $49,089. GO TEAM LEGACY! 

I mean really, no other group of people in the history of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has done what we all did.  I believe Chak was definitely watching us from above. I wonderful surprise came for me in email from Chak's 17 year old son, Dana who apologized that he could not be at the gala but wished us good luck.

 

When I first started this campaign, little did I know what a journey I was embarking on. I've learned so much about myself and met so many wonderful people. I couldn’t have done this without the support of each of you.

 

Although this journey has come to an end for us, the struggle continues for those among us still living with blood cancers. As I write this to you, the father of a very good of mine continues to battle with lymphoma. From the bottom of my heart, it is for him and the others afflicted with this disease, that I thank you all once again.

 

As the Society continues it’s search for a cure, I want to encourage each of you to continue your support of this noble cause.  Donations are accepted throughout the year on the Society’s site, and I am keeping my Web site up for as long as I can for donations (they are still coming in). There are many other ways to help out, too. Never hesitate to pick up the torch and volunteer--or better yet, consider running for Man or Woman of the Year. I'll be available to offer tips.

Again, your unfaltering support has made such a huge difference. Go Team Legacy!
